San Clemente High of California captured the Division 1-2 boys team sweepstakes race with a 44-109 victory against Great Oak of California at the 74th Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational Presented by Nike in Walnut, Calif. Juan Chantaca covered the 2.93-mile course in 14:55 to place second, Rory Catsimanes and Brett Ephraim were fifth and sixth both clocking 15:03, Pierce Clark placed 13th in 15:22, Taj Clark earned 18th in 15:30 and Grant Sestak recovered from being knocked down early in the race to secure 39th in 15:52 for the Tritons, who snapped a seven-year Division 1-2 team sweepstakes championship reign by Great Oak.
