Juan Chantaca, Rory Catsimanes, Grant Sestak, Taj Clark, Pierce Clark, Dallin Harrington and Brett Ephraim helped San Clemente capture the first CIF Southern Section Division 1 boys title in program history at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. Chantaca took second by covering the 2.93-mile layout in 14:59.8, Catsimanes grabbed ninth in 15:11.5, Sestak (15:33.9) and Taj Clark (15:36.4) were 23rd and 24th, respectively, Pierce Clark placed 36th in 15:50.5, Harrington earned 48th in 16:02.2 and Ephraim achieved 64th in 16:18.7 for the Tritons, who prevailed by a 73-95 margin against Great Oak.
